Education System to Study in USA

In college courses, students are often awarded one of five grades, which are symbolized by letters. These letters carry varying point values per credit hour, which are then factored into the student’s grade point average (GPA)

(The highest grade) – 4 points.

  • 3 Points (The student’s performance in the course is above average).
  • Points, or the mean passing score.
  • One point, the bare minimum needed to pass.

If the student failed the course; there is no credit or point value.

Semester: According to this method, the year is divided into two semesters: 16 weeks in the fall, which starts in mid-August or September, and 16 weeks in the spring, which starts in January. There is also a longer summer vacation and a brief winter break.

Quarter: The academic year is split into three quarters here, with the first one typically beginning in late September and ending in mid-June.
